Amico Paolo,
L'amicizia è la pietra angolare della vita,
tuttavia, quando gli impegni e le responsabilità quotidiane ci privano della
possibilità di apprezzare al massimo i bei doni della vita, spesso siamo negligenti nella coltivazione
dell'amicizia.
Ho pensato a lungo a questo grande amico: al perché
siamo amici, e a come la nostra amicizia si sia arricchita.
Noi che pratichiamo il Karate ci alleniamo
ogni giorno, sviluppiamo la forma fisica, la forza, l'abilità tecnica. Il
nostro spirito si rinforza e sviluppiamo le qualità
dell'umiltà e della modestia.
Non dovremmo mai perdere il sentimento di
apprezzamento verso i nostri Maestri, nonché l'apprezzamento per la nostra
famiglia e per gli amici.
Nessun Karateka dovrebbe dimenticare che la differenza
che c'è tra un Dojo e una palestra è la stessa che c'è tra un Sensei e un allenatore.
La missione di un Sensei è quella di educare degli
uomini completi più che solo degli atleti, per ottenere valori più che
medaglie.
Il nostro obiettivo è quello di educare gli allievi al
rispetto, al valore, all'onestà, alla forza, alla disciplina e alla responsabilità.
Noi crediamo che gli allievi debbano ricevere una
reale visione della vita attraverso la pratica del Karate debbano avere bene in mente gli obiettivi che si stanno prefiggendo di raggiungere, che la vita non
è sempre gentile e non è sempre facile. Che a volte si vince e a volte si perde,
che le sconfitte sono un processo di apprendimento e che noi dovremmo sempre
conservare la dignità, l'umiltà e il rispetto per noi stessi così come per gli
altri.
Nel karate la cosa importante è il DŌ, la Via, il
costante apprendimento, il miglioramento continuo di noi stessi.
Se ci concentriamo sul DŌ come fa il mio amico e
collega Paolo, gli obiettivi sono raggiunti e la nostra vita si riempie di
significato.
Ti auguro molta felicità per i 30 anni del Tora Kan Dōjō e ti ringrazio per aver condiviso questi 20 anni di amicizia con la grande
famiglia della IOGKF.

The friendship
is the angular stone of the life, however, when tight schedules and daily
responsibilities deprive us of the possibility of appreciating the most beautiful
gifts in the life, often we are negligent in the cultivation of the friendship.
I have taken a moment thinking of this great friend, why we are
friends, and how our friendship got rich??
Us, those that
practice Karate, if we train every day, we develop the physical form, the
force, the technical ability. Our spirit grows strong little by little and we
are developing the qualities of humility and modesty.
We should never
lose the feeling of appreciation toward our instructors, as well as the
appreciation for our family and friends.
No Karateka
should forget that the difference between a Dojo and a gym is the same one that
between a Sensei and a trainer.
The mission of a
Sensei is the one of forming entire people more than only athletes and to
obtain values more than medals.
Our objective is
to promote in the students the respect, the value, the honesty, the strength,
the discipline and the responsibility.
We believe that
the students should obtain a real vision of the life through the practice of
the Karate and to be aware of the goals they are fighting to reach, that the
life is not always fair and it is not always easy. That sometimes they win,
sometimes they get lost, that the defeats are a learning process and that we
should always conserve the dignity, the humility and the respect to ourselves
as well as to the other ones.
In the karate
the important thing is the DO, the road, the constant learning, the process of
always improving ourselves.
If we
concentrate on the DO like my friend and partner Paolo, the objectives are
completed and the goals are reached in our life.
Many happiness
for the 30 Years of Tora Kan Dōjō and thank you to share these 20 Years of
Friendship with the great Family IOGKF.
