Perchè lo Zen non ha nulla da offrire.
E' proprio così com'è, pervade tutto ed è vuoto.
Lo Zen dice 'taci e siedi' e qui inizia la tua pratica...
Tante persone vogliono cercare ma non vogliono trovare.
Lo Zen è molto semplice da spiegare eppure è troppo sottile da esprimere a parole.
Un maestro Zen disse: 'Mille libri non sono abbastanza e una parola è troppo'.
Lo Zen è pratica.
Una pratica sincera è scevra da ogni elemento esotico.
E' insita una bellezza profonda ma per notarla devi lasciar cadere ogni idea, riconoscere la tua ignoranza e sedere...
Alle persone piace parlare dei propri conseguimenti e nello zen non hai nulla di cui parlare.
Viene a te come chiarezza, comprensione... lo Zen dice siedi e guarda..
Non ti dà dei compagni.
Tu sei impaurito.
Devi sedere solo.
In molti altri insegnamenti ti danno un'intera schiera di intattenimenti: energie, chakra, demoni, angeli, dei, mandala, simboli, storie riguardo cosa dovresti vedere e dove andare.
Non sono così solitarie...
Nello Zen siedi con te stesso.
Devi guardare in faccia te stesso.
Devi vedere te stesso forse per la prima volta e per molti di noi è un'esperienza spaventosa.
Lo Zen è per coloro che arrivano a comprendere che la sincerità e la semplicità sono la via autentica per qualsiasi cosa possiamo incontrare al di là del regno delle parole..."

"Zen is not as popular as many other complicated 'ancient' teachings.
Why?
Zen has nothing to offer.
It is as it is, all pervading and empty.
Zen says shut up and sit down and that is when your seeking begins...
So many people want to seek but they do not want to find.
Zen is too simple to explain and yet it is too subtle to put it in words.
One zen master said: 'Thousand books are not enough and one word is too much'.
Zen is practice.
Pure honest practice devoid of nearly all exotic elements.
There is a rare beauty in it but to notice it you have to drop all ideas, recognize your ignorance and sit down...
People like to talk about their achievements and in zen you have nothing to talk about.
It comes to you as clarity, as understanding... Zen says sit down and watch.
It does not give you companions.
You scared.
You have to sit alone.
In many other teachings they give you the whole crowd to entertain you: energy, chakras, demons, angels, gods, mandalas, symbols, tales about what you should see and where to go.
It is not so lonely...
In Zen you sit on your own.
You have to face yourself.
You have to see yourself maybe for the first time and for many of us it is frightening experience.
Zen is for those who come to realize that honesty and simplicity is the true road to whatever we may encounter beyond the realm of words... "
