Se comprendi cosa sia la vera Pratica, allora anche il Tiro con l’Arco o altre attività possono essere Zen.
Ma se tu non comprendi come Praticare il Tiro con l’arco nel suo significato più autentico, allora, sebbene tu possa Praticare duramente, quel che acquisirai sarà solo la tecnica. Questo non ti aiuterà nella vita.
Forse potrai anche colpire il bersaglio al primo tentativo, ma senza l’arco e la freccia non potrai fare nulla.
Mentre se comprendi l’essenza della Pratica, allora, anche senza arco e frecce, l’Arte del Tiro con l’Arco ti sarà d’aiuto.
Puoi acquisire questo potere o abilità solo attraverso la giusta Pratica.

If you understand real practice, then archery or other activities can be Zen. If you don't understand how to practice archery in its truest sense, then even though you practice really hard, what you acquire is just technique. It won't help you through and through.
Perhaps you can hit the mark without trying, but without bow and arrow you cannot do anything.
If you understand the point of practice, then even without bow and arrow, the archery will help you. How you get that kind of power or ability is only through right practice.
